• Grip & Positioning: Hold instrument with a modified pen or palm grip, resting your index finger along the shank for stability. Align the small straight tip parallel to the long axis of the tooth root.
• Sever Ligament (Periotome Action): Apply gentle axial pressure along the root while making subtle circumferential movements toward the apex to cut the PDL fibers cleanly.
• Instrument Selection: Select the GDC Proxitip-Luxating Hybrid instrument suitable for the specific tooth or teeth requiring extraction. Ensure it is clean and sterilized.
• Tooth Removal: Extract the tooth or root tip using forceps or picks once adequate mobility is achieved.
• Controlled Luxation (Elevator Action):  Once positioned deeply within the socket, apply slight rotational wedging to expand the socket walls and loosen the root.
