GDC Osteotome Concave Angulated Set Of 6 In Cassette (Ostmshawc6)

The GDC Concave osteotomes are commonly used in dental sinus lifting procedures, also known as sinus augmentation or sinus grafting. During a sinus lift, the sinus membrane is lifted, and a bone graft material is placed underneath to increase the height of the bone in the upper jaw. This creates a more suitable environment for dental implant placement in patients who have experienced bone loss in the upper jaw. Concave osteotomes are used in the process of preparing the site for the bone graft. After the membrane is lifted, the surgeon will use a series of concave osteotomes to gently pack the bone graft material into place and compress it against the existing bone. This helps to ensure that the bone graft material is evenly distributed and in close contact with the existing bone, promoting better integration of the graft with the surrounding bone tissue.

The set comes in a convenient cassette that securely holds each osteotome in place, making it easy to transport and store. This set is commonly used in procedures such as dental implant placement, sinus lift surgery, and orthopedic bone grafting.

Features
  • Concave Blade: The blade of concave osteotomes is spoon-shaped and curved inward, allowing for precise bone cutting or graft packing.
  • Ergonomic Handle: The handle of concave osteotomes is designed to provide a comfortable and secure grip for the surgeon during use.
  • Different Sizes and Shapes: Concave osteotomes come in various sizes and shapes to accommodate different bone sizes and anatomical structures.
  • Durable Material: The blade and handle of concave osteotomes are typically made of high-quality stainless steel or titanium, ensuring durability and resistance to corrosion.
  • Sterilizable: Concave osteotomes can be sterilized easily, either by autoclaving or chemical sterilization, to prevent infection.
  • Multi-functional: Concave osteotomes can be used for various dental and orthopedic procedures, including dental implant placement, bone grafting, and sinus lifting.
  • Improved Surgical Outcomes: The use of concave osteotomes has improved the safety and success of dental and orthopedic surgeries by providing greater precision and control during bone cutting or graft packing.
