• Grip & Position:  Hold with a palm grip (index finger extended along the shank for control). Insert the tip into the periodontal ligament (PDL) space between the bone and root.
• Orient Tip: Face the concave side toward the root and the convex side toward the bone.
• Wedge: Apply gentle apical pressure down into the PDL space to loosen the root.
• Retrieve:Lift the dislodged fragment using root forceps or suction.
