• Begin by cleaning the tooth surface and preparing the composite material according to the instructions.
• Hold the posterior tanner like a pen, with your index finger on the top of the instrument and your thumb on the bottom.
• Gently place the instrument on the tooth surface and use it to smooth and shape the composite material.
• Apply light pressure and work in small, circular motions to ensure an even distribution of the composite material.
• Check the placement and shape of the composite material frequently and adjust as necessary.
• Once the desired shape and position are achieved, use the posterior tanner to smooth and contour the edges of the composite material for a natural-looking finish.
• Finally, cure the composite material with a curing light according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
